Epoxy and Polyurethane Coving

In industries like food, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare, thorough cleaning is essential. Ninety-degree angles at wall-to-floor junctions are hard to clean and promote bacteria growth. Installing epoxy or polyurethane coving creates a smooth transition, making it easier to clean both surfaces and eliminating dirt traps.

No matter what type of wall you have—food grade white wall panels, 3mm thick white rock sheeting, or plastered finishes—Rifa Floor Solutions can install a coved skirting that is permanently fixed. We will attach a stainless steel ‘birds beak’ trim to the wall. Then, we will use a trowel to create a smooth transition with epoxy or polyurethane render. If needed, we can also apply any type of chemical-resistant coating to ensure a completely sealed system.

Coved Skirting with Kerbs

Certain areas, especially in the food sector, need coved skirting due to forklift and pallet truck traffic. To protect the wall base, we often add a concrete kerb. Rifa Floor Solutions installs these kerbs and applies epoxy or polyurethane coving systems over them. Our coved skirting is compatible with all resin flooring systems and can cover existing kerbs or be installed directly on your walls.

We typically install a stainless steel ‘birds beak’ trim first, then apply the coving material to finish flush with the trim. The coving can also connect to existing brickwork and finish flush with the flooring.
